Performance Levels

What if reviewing student performance in your Gradebook was as easy as using a stoplight? 

Enter performance levels. 

With color-coded indicators, you can tell, at a glance, which students excelled on an assignment and which could benefit from some extra help. 

Setting Up Performance Levels 

From your Educator Access+ dashboard, click on Teacher Access, then select My Gradebook from the dropdown menu. 

You can use Performance Levels in both your standards and secondary gradebooks. 

First, we'll take a look at standards. 

Click on Events, then Add Event. 

Fill in the form as you normally would, but take note of the Display Options box. 

Check the box to Use Expected Levels of Performance. 

Then use the dropdown numbers to set the low end of each performance level category. 

When you look at grades in your gradebook, scores that fall in each of these categories will be highlighted in the colors shown. 

For secondary gradebooks, go to Assignments, then Add Assignment. 

From here, complete the same steps in the Display Options box. 

Once your levels are set up, it's easy to see where students are falling. 

Open your gradebook. On the top bar, hover over Charts, then select Expected Levels of Performance. 

This color-coded chart will help you quickly identify how many students are on track. 

The ability to visually identify performance trends can be the difference between your students getting back on track or heading down a problematic road.
