"When switching to Skyward from our previous system, we moved from monthly to bi-weekly payrolls for hourly staff. This added 24 payrolls per year, and it still saves time from our previous software.
Our previous software did not provide time tracking, which meant an extensive process to integrate the two systems. Leave requests in our payroll software needed to be balanced with our time tracking system. Manual entries were required when staff did not request time off in our payroll software. Once time was balanced, the export/import process was lengthy and did not always match up, requiring additional review of total hours worked, overtime, and what was imported for the pay to be correct. Teachers used paper timesheets for additional duties such as tutoring, detention, and sub coverage, as it was cost prohibitive to add users to our time tracking software. With Skyward Qmlativ, the time tracking, leave used and payroll are all integrated seamlessly. "

"We are a fast growth district that switched to Skyward Qmlativ from a non-Skyward SIS 3 years ago. The flexibilty in what you can do with Skyward Qmlativ sets it apart from other SIS. A few highlights for me:
API integration has helped make the challenging process of participating in the transition away from XML for state reporting easier to navigate and troubleshooting submission errors in real time a reality. The power to correct errors and see the correction is vital for their reporting process.
GPA policy changes could have resulted in having to stack multiple gradebooks for secondary teacher classes, however, Skyward Qmlativ’s programming is flexible enough to allow for the phasing in of changes in calculation inside the gradebook rather than being limited to the course. This streamlines a process which can be fraught with logistical difficulties that eat up work hours.
The report building and data mining capabilities are empowering our campus registrars to fulfill data requests that in the past would have required them to reach out for help to the central office. "
