No way! Each year, our team prepares a schedule filled to the brim with exciting updates, product roadmaps, and need-to-know tips. Because our team is constantly enhancing our software solutions, so is the content you can expect to learn each year!
Skyward iCon 2025 took place February 26-28 in beautiful St. Pete Beach, Florida. One new session featured Skyward-themed Bingo, challenging attendees’ edtech knowledge for the chance to win prizes. In the spirit of this interactive session, we’re recapping this year’s event by sharing 25 things we’d use to fill out a Skyward iCon Bingo card.
1. DistrictPulse
Unveiled at this year’s conference, DistrictPulse was the talk of the Island Ballroom. Made possible through our partnership with Amazon Web Services, DistrictPulse is an exciting new platform that transforms data points into clear visualizations and actionable insights. Learn more here.
2. Keynote speaker
This year, attendees were treated to a heartfelt keynote titled, “Creating a Culture of Innovation.” Delivered by Thomas C. Murray, Director of Innovation at Future Ready Schools, his message delved into the importance of crafting a collaborative environment that embraces change and how leaders can make this vision a reality within their district.
3. Networking
Skyward iCon provides a unique opportunity to connect with K-12 professionals from across the country. With ample time to network, attendees traded ideas and insights with individuals who share common roles.
4. Beach views
Picture this: you wake up, pull the curtains back to reveal your oceanfront view, and see the morning sunshine shimmering on the water.
5. Social mixer
Beach views, great company, island tunes, and tasty refreshments made for a memorable first evening at Skyward iCon. The social mixer offered a prime opportunity to take in the beauty of the resort while mingling!
6. Actionable insights
What’s better than learning impactful information? Leaving with an action plan you can’t wait to implement at your school district!
7. Product updates
Our team implements regular product enhancements to make your Skyward experience even better. Skyward iCon is an amazing opportunity to learn about these updates directly from product experts!
8. Bingo, of course!
Sessions aren’t just informational—they’re also fun! New this year, attendees enjoyed Bingo sessions that put their edtech knowledge to the test.
9. Exhibit hall
Attendees are invited to connect with exhibitors throughout the duration of the conference. They’re not only equipped with solutions that can empower your district — they have fun swag items, too!
10. Steel drums
New in 2025, attendees enjoyed the tropical tunes of a professional steel drum player during the Social Mixer event. Paired with beach views and tropical breeze, the evening was downright “beachy-keen”!
11. Snacks
You can’t learn on an empty stomach! Themed snack breaks, including movie theater favorites and selections to satisfy your sweet tooth, were scheduled throughout the conference to keep attendees energized.
12. Sunshine
While soaking up some vitamin D isn’t mandatory, it is highly suggested. iCon attendees double as solar powered school data scholars—just add sun!
13. Free space
Every Bingo card needs one.
14. 1:1 sessions
One of the most popular offerings year after year, 1:1 sessions mean attendees get to meet face-to-face with a Skyward expert to address specific questions.
15. Leader in Excellence
A Skyward iCon staple, Leader In Excellence award recipients were recognized and celebrated for their innovative uses of Skyward solutions to empower their districts. Learn about this year’s group of Leaders In Excellence here.
16. Professional headshots
Say cheese! This well-received breaktime activity gave attendees the opportunity to refresh their professional headshots with Skyward’s very own photographer.
17. Tasty food
From gourmet meals at the resort to a wonderful array of local seafood restaurants, attendees were in for a culinary treat!
18. Qmlativ
Whether districts had already migrated to Qmlativ or were looking into the migration process, there were plenty of sessions designed to make the adoption of Qmlativ seamless and stress-free.
19. Ocean breeze
Nothing feels quite as rejuvenating as a warm tropical breeze greeting you each time you step outdoors.
20. K-12 camaraderie
No one understands your daily successes and struggles quite like those who hold similar roles in the K-12 industry. Sharing stories and insights is rewarding each year!
21. Lasting connections
The connections made at iCon last far longer than the conference itself. These relationships continue to blossom, and there’s a good chance you’ll run into colleagues again at future Skyward iCon conferences!
22. Excitement and innovation
Sometimes all you need to recharge your sense of purpose is a little change of pace and an innovative idea or two.
23. Rejuvenating breaks
Engaging breaktime activities, including a Game Craze and refreshment stations, occurred throughout the conference to encourage connection (and a little friendly competition).
24. Fond memories
Attendees leave Skyward iCon with ideas, inspiration, K-12 connections, and hopefully a hint of a tan!
