Skyward Announces Scholarship Winners for 2017-2018 Academic Year

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Nov. 7, 2017) ­– Skyward, an industry leading administrative software provider, is excited to announce the Skyward scholarship recipients from Mid-State Technical College (Mid-State) and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UW-Stevens Point) for the 2017-2018 academic year.
 
Mid-State award recipients include Derek Brown of Waupaca, Dwayne Corry of Nekoosa, Shawn Biedenbender of Wisconsin Rapids, and Aron Jones of Arkdale. All four students are enrolled in the IT software developer or IT network specialist program at Mid-State’s campuses in either Wisconsin Rapids or Stevens Point. Since 2002, Skyward has provided assistance to students enrolled in the information technology programs at Mid-State, with 44 scholarships awarded to date. Each winner received their scholarship during the Mid-State Annual Awards Reception held Thursday, August 31 at Mid-State’s Wisconsin Rapids campus.
 
“The technology field is growing at a rapid rate and the Mid-State Technical College and Foundation appreciates the investment Skyward and its employees are making in the emerging talents of our students,” said Jill Steckbauer, foundation and alumni director at Mid-State. “The direct support of these scholarships helps bridge the barrier of higher education costs and ensures our students have the best possible opportunity to succeed in the future.”
 
Five UW-Stevens Point students also received scholarships from Skyward this year. The recipients include OnaLi Gudelis of Wisconsin Rapids, Dustin Hasenohrl of Arpin, Caden Untiedt of Edgar, Marvin Van Asten of Waupaca, and Tanner Zesiger of Exeland. All five scholarship awardees are pursuing a degree in computer information systems at the university.
