STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Sept. 22, 2016) – Skyward, an industry leading K-12 school administrative software provider, is accepting entries for its third annual Leader in Excellence Awards. The program recognizes K-12 districts and individuals using Skyward’s solution to enhance education and inspire innovative ideas and initiatives.
“Last year’s second annual Leader in Excellence Awards saw a terrific response from our district clients across the country,” said Ray Ackerlund, chief marketing officer at Skyward. “This year, we expect to receive great participation again from districts and individuals who are using our School Management System’s SIS or ERP to empower their staff with the tools to create a better learning environment that promotes student success.”
Any K-12 school district or staff member who used Skyward’s School Management System during the 2015-2016 school year is eligible to apply for the award. Nominees must demonstrate how their district has made improvements by using the School Management System. In addition, a Skyward account executive, project manager, product manager, or team leader must be included as an application reference for the district or individual. The closing date for entries is Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at 5 p.m. CST, and winners will be announced in early 2017.
Individuals who are leaders and inspire peers through their use of Skyward’s solution, and school districts that use Skyward to innovate and enhance education, are eligible to receive the award. Winners earn one free registration to the 15th annual Skyward International Conference (iCon) at TradeWinds Island Resort in St. Pete Beach, Fla., and will be recognized for their success at an awards ceremony on March 9, 2017.
2016 Leader in Excellence individual award recipients included Jeff Bushman, director of technology at Pacelli Catholic Schools in Stevens Point, Wis., Sonja Hoskins, data services manager at School District of La Crosse in La Crosse, Wis., and Michael Heaps, support services manager at Jordan School District in West Jordan, Utah. District recipients included Sauk Rapids-Rice School District in Minnesota, Lewisville Independent School District in Texas, and Center Grove School Corporation in Indiana.
