Is "discipline" an outdated word? Maybe.

As more and more school districts transition to a Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports system, more commonly known as PBIS, it will be increasingly important for you, as a principal, to keep close tabs on behavior and the actions being taken to get students back on the right path.
Data analysis is an integral part of PBIS.
Discipline graphs will show actions broken down by action type. Scrolling down, you can see the effect of different variables, including time of day, offense type, locations, and even motivations.
This data will help you identify trends and tweak your strategy accordingly.
Transparency is another important feature. Your teachers and support staff will need to see the behaviors and actions necessary to guide their decision making.
Best of all, it's really easy to enter a referral.
Finally, you can establish check-in/check-out procedures for your staff and load your own custom documents directly into Skyward.
Are you ready to put students in the center of your behavior strategies?
Don't let technology stand in the way of doing what's right.
