STEVENS POINT, Wis. (October 2, 2018) ­– Skyward, an administrative software provider committed to a better experience for every user, announced the Skyward scholarship recipients from Mid-State Technical College (Mid-State) and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UW-Stevens Point) for the 2018-2019 academic year.
 
Mid-State award recipients include Kyle Everson of Marshfield, Karin Harris of Marshfield, and Aaron Weber of Stevens Point. All three students are enrolled in the IT network specialist, IT computer support, and IT software developer programs at Mid-State’s campuses in either Wisconsin Rapids or Stevens Point. Since 2002, Skyward has provided assistance to students enrolled in the information technology programs at Mid-State, with 47 scholarships awarded to date. Each winner received their scholarship during the Mid-State Annual Awards Reception held Thursday, September 13 at Mid-State’s Wisconsin Rapids campus.
 
“The Mid-State Technical College foundation appreciates and enjoys our continued partnership with Skyward and its employees,” said Jill Steckbauer, foundation and alumni director at Mid-State. “The support of businesses, such as Skyward, helps make the dream of a post-secondary degree attainable for more students.”
 
Five UW-Stevens Point students also received scholarships from Skyward. The recipients include Adam Aufdermauer of Sturgeon Bay, Ashley Peper of Plover, Anika Tabassum Sardar Neela of Bangladesh, Riley Ubinger of Wisconsin Rapids, and Marvin Van Asten of Stevens Point. All five scholarship awardees are pursuing a degree in computer information systems at the university.
 
"Computing and New Media Technologies (CNMT) and UW-Stevens Point are grateful for our continued partnership with Skyward and the support the company has provided our students as they pursue their futures," said Tim Krause, department chair of computing and new media technologies at UW-Stevens Point.
