August 20, 2007
STEVENS POINT, WI – Skyward (www.skyward.com), the industry-leading K-12 school administrative software provider,
is pleased to announce that they have expanded their customer base into the state of Tennessee. Oak Ridge Schools
of Tennessee will join over 1,200 school districts in 14 states and 3 foreign countries that currently use Skyward
as their administrative software provider.
During their search for a software provider that fit their needs, Oak Ridge Schools had Kevin McFerrin, Vice President
of New Business at Skyward, travel to Tennessee to give them a demonstration on Skyward’s administrative software.
After a thorough demonstration of Skyward’s ability to manage the entire districts budget, payroll, inventory, and
more, Oak Ridge purchased Skyward’s Financial management software, training and services and is currently evaluating
Skyward’s Student software as well.
Karen Gagliano, Director of Business and Support Services at Oak Ridge Schools said, “We searched the market to find
out what products were currently available and Skyward quickly rose to the top of our list considering the features
we were looking for.”
“Skyward is excited to welcome Oak Ridge as our first school district in Tennessee. We are committed to partnering
with them for years to come and continuing our growth with other school districts in Tennessee,” said McFerrin.
