Skyward Adds Second International Customer
July 23, 2007
STEVENS POINT, WI – Skyward (www.skyward.com), the industry-leading K-12 school administrative software provider, is pleased to announce that a second international school has purchased their software. The American International School - Riyadh in Saudi Arabia has selected Skyward to be their administrative software provider.
Kevin McFerrin, VP of New Business at Skyward, represented Skyward software at a South East Asian Conference in Muscat which Riyadh attended. Through word of mouth and additional presentations, it was evident to them that Skyward was the only choice. Skyward will provide software that the school will use to run vital day to day activities.
The American International School - Riyadh has approximately 2,500 students who attend their school. Students at this school are children of embassy personnel, world organization officials and international business people. Though the student population represents many nationalities, both teachers and students speak English.
Skyward sent personnel to Riyadh to install the software and provide training to staff. The school will be up and running at the start of the 2007-08 school year.
Skyward is thrilled about the prospect of growing internationally. Through word of mouth and a growing international presence, Skyward is eager to continue this trend and add more schools around the globe. “We are continually growing and look forward to bringing our industry leading school management systems to other countries,” said McFerrin. “This is the start of a great endeavor for Skyward in terms of international business,” he added.
The American International School - Riyadh (AIS-R) is private, non-profit, co-educational day school. AIS-R is parent-owned, licensed by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. AIS-R currently serves students from over 48 different nationalities. The teaching staff is comprised mostly of North American certified teachers who are recruited internationally or who live in the expatriate community in Riyadh. The school year begins in late August and continues through early June.
