New Centralized Dashboard from Skyward Enhances Data Accessibility

SkyPort will allow users to create a custom view of their Skyward application, with easy access to critical information.

STEVENS POINT, WI – Skyward, the industry leading K-12 administrative software provider, announced today the availability of SkyPort, a new web portal that provides secure access to all Skyward applications through a centralized portal that begins with a district calendar.

SkyPort works as a dashboard view for all users within the district. Administrators, principals, teachers, support staff, parents and students can access SkyPort from the district’s calendar by using their own secure login and password. Once logged on, users can customize and arrange the dashboard to meet their specific needs.

The idea for SkyPort originated from a customer at the 2008 Skyward International Conference. The customer described a screen in which they could, at-a-glance, see all of the applications their district owned within Skyward.

The SkyPort centralized portal will allow districts to maintain one link to Skyward applications. Users will now be directed to one URL to access all of their Skyward applications whether they are an administrator, teacher, parent or a combination of multiple roles, all of their information will be available from one screen.

SkyPort will be available starting this fall as a standard option in the Skyward Student Management Suite™. There will be no cost for current Skyward customers to implement SkyPort.
